Playlist Support
2008-06-02 3:14 p.m.
Currently under development - Support for multiple playlist formats.

At the time of this posting the only supported playlist format is .m3u. I will be working as much as possible to bring support to the .pls and other formats I happen to run across.

Once the propagation phase begins, I would like to ask that you have many .m3u files ready to be uploaded and categorized.

More news to come soon!

What is WebCastLive?
2008-05-27 10:35 a.m.
WebCastLive is an One-stop web-based Internet radio player application built with Flash Actionscript and will later be developed into a desktop application for both Windows based systems and Mac OS systems.

How it works--

WebCastLive is built to incorporate Actionscript, PHP, and XML all while using a community built database to populate the player with Internet Radio stations for the user to listen. All streams are live and safe, any new servers that are added to the list are tested for authenticity and any malicious code or operations.

Most internet radio stations require you to have some sort of player installed to open their playlist which the user has to search for online. The functionality of WebCastLive allows users to browse stations by genre, eliminating the frustration of finding sites that play a specific style of music. The best part, the users will be the ones providing their sources for the rest of the community to listen to.

As the project continues, updates and screenshots will become more available.
